    Permaquip Super-Lite Link Trolley goes into production

    Permaquip have started production of their new Super-Lite Link Trolley. The new trolley is specifically designed to work on multiple gauges and reduce manual handling weight. The unique three piece design means the trolley is easy to transport and carry.     New distributors drive international sales

    Permaquip has added a further 9 territories to their international sales network by partnering with 4 new distributors. Each distributor has an excellent understanding of the Permaquip product range, the local rail market and has been an established supplier of equipment in their chosen territory for many years.     New Permaquip website goes live

    Permaquip have launched their new website. The site will enable their customers to find product information, Permaquip genuine spare parts and product support. It will also show customers throughout the world where their local distributor can be found. All products and services will be available for purchase online along with order status updates.     Permaquip signs new Service Centre Agreement

    Permaquip has appointed Skillfast Solutions Ltd as an Authorised Service Centre. The agreement will authorise Skillfast Solutions to officially carry out service, test & repair activities on Permaquip products. Skillfast must use genuine Permaquip spare parts to complete the work to ensure that all products are returned in a safe and reliable condition. The agreement is in line with Permaquip's policy of providing quality products and support to their customers from multiple locations throughout the world.

    Permaquip has successfully maintained its Link Up accreditation for supply of products to the rail industry. The accreditation gives Permaquip customers' the assurance that Permaquip complies with the necessary standards required to deliver safe and effective products for use on the rail infrastructure.

    Permaquip delivers on time

    Permaquip has delivered the first tranche of 400 trolleys as part of their contract to assist Network Rail in upgrading their existing trolley fleet. As a result of this performance further contract awards for the supply of Ironmen and Stressors have been awarded and will be delivered over the coming months.

    Australian distributor expands international sales

    Permaquip's appointment of Melvelle Equipment as their distributor in Australia and New Zealand has started to deliver results as a further twenty trolleys were shipped this month. This is on the back of an initial order of sixteen trolleys over the past three months and sales are expected to increase further as Melvelle's customers are introduced to the Permaquip product range.

    Contract awards drive growth at Permaquip

    Permaquip has been awarded two significant contracts for the supply of trolleys and Ironmen. Tube Lines have placed an order for 175 Ironmen as part of their plant renewal programme and Network Rail have awarded a two year framework agreement for the supply of 808 Permaquip trolleys for 2012/13 and 2013/14 contract periods. Work has already started on the build of these products with delivery planned between May and September of this year.

    Permaquip moves to a new manufacturing facility to expand production

    Permaquip have moved to a new modern manufacturing facility at Stanton Hill in Nottinghamshire. The move enables the business to increase production to fulfil an expanding order book as well as create bespoke areas for the production of new product lines and for servicing existing products for customers.

    Permaquip appoints new Managing Director

    Permaquip have appointed Jeremy Gamble as its new Managing Director as part of its plan to grow the business both in the UK and overseas. Jeremy ran a successful rail services business before selling to private equity in 2005 and also ran the Permaquip business from 2006 - 2007 when it was owned by Harsco. Jeremy said "The owners of Permaquip have great plans to expand the business. They want to create a global brand for a quality product that is highly regarded by its customers and is the product of choice when carrying out rail maintenance. This is something that I felt I could definitely sign up to"

    Permaquip business acquired by Arkle Partners

    Arkle Partners have purchased the Permaquip Rail Maintenance Equipment business from US conglomerate Harsco. The business fits with Arkle Partners strategy of buying businesses with strong brand recognition with the capability to expand in emerging markets. Mark Sargent of Arkle Partners said "We have exciting plans for Permaquip and see it as a major asset for growth within our portfolio of businesses"
